Maria Rojas Botero BA, RYT-200
Maria Rojas Botero currently serves as the Program Director at the Hispanic Women’s
Resource Center, which is part of the Morris County Organization for Hispanic Affairs
(MCOHA). She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Language from Universidad del
Quindío, Colombia (2011), and this degree was validated in the United States by World
Education International Services in 2018. In addition, she completed DADC training
through a collaboration with County College of Morris and Rutgers University in 2019.
With over seven years of experience in the non-profit sector, Maria has cultivated
expertise in Social Work, Social Justice, and Advocacy. Her previous positions include
Residential Support Staff, Program Associate, and Women's Program Case Manager at Homeless Solutions Inc. Passionate about promoting self-care for the women she
supports, Maria achieved certification as a RYT-200 Hatha Yoga Teacher in December
2022 from Abhaya Yoga Studio in Brooklyn, NY. Her commitment focuses on serving
the Hispanic women community, empowering them to achieve their goals and enhance
their well-being. Maria is also currently an active member of the Diversity, Equity, and
Inclusion (DEI) committee for Impact100 Garden State an organization consisting of
dedicated women volunteers who are committed to making a significant change in the
community providing high-impact grants to nonprofits serving the counties of Morris,
Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, or Union.
