We are excited to announce that nominations are now open for the Latino Mental Health Association of New Jersey Executive Board! This is an incredible opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our statewide organization and help shape the future of mental health advocacy within the Latinx community. If you're passionate about supporting our mission, have leadership experience, and are committed to making a difference, we encourage you to consider nominating yourself or someone else for one of our available board positions.

Board members are expected to commit time, energy, and resources to support the mission of LMHANJ. Below are the key commitments:

  • Board Meetings: Attend bi-monthly board meetings, held on the first and third Sunday of each month from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM. These meetings are essential for discussing the direction, goals, and operations of the organization.

  • Strategic Planning Meetings: Participate in 1-2 half-day strategic planning meetings each year to help shape the long-term vision and initiatives of LMHANJ.

  • Annual Conference: Attend and actively contribute to the success of the annual conference held each March. This may include leading or assisting with tasks such as programming, outreach, or logistics.

  • Annual Gala: Attend the annual gala in October and secure a table of your family, friends, network or organization. This is a key event for celebrating our achievements and supporting scholarship initiatives.

  • Event and Sponsorship Promotion: Share upcoming events, sponsorship opportunities, and initiatives with your professional and personal network to help expand our reach and engage more supporters.

Board involvement affords you the unique opportunity for professional growth, exclusive networking and access, increased visibility, personal fulfillment, legacy building, and ultimately, to make a tremendous impact on our community!

We invite passionate and dedicated individuals to step forward and nominate themselves or others for leadership positions, contributing to the vital work we do in enhancing mental health awareness and services. IT TRULY IS AN AMAZING AND FULFILLING EXPERIENCE!
